- Mixzing : This is a music and video player that has some added functionality over the basic music player. The player comes with an equalizer that allows you to keep set the bass, treble etc to your desired levels. It is easy to create playlists and to add songs to the Now Playing lists. The Player also creates a list of similar songs from your playlists.
- Shazaam : This app can recognize which song is playing if you point your device to the music. With this app, you do not need to wonder about what track (or artist) it is that is playing.
- TuneIn Radio : This app streams radio from the internet. There are numerous stations for music, news, sports, podcasts etc. There are radio stations arranged by locality and languages as well. It is one of the most popular internet radio apps for android.
- Saavn: This app is for Hindi music lovers. You can stream songs from the internet. There is a weekly top 15, new releases section, a random selection, or you can just search for the song, album or artist and create your own playlist.
- Listen : Listen is a Podcast client from google. This app is not for listening to music but for listening to Podcasts. It is perhaps the best podcast client for Android. Listen syncs with your Google Reader account, makig it very easy for you to subscribe to podcasts using google reader. You can download the latest podcasts to your phone and listen to them when offline, Listen will delete them after you have ‘listened’ to them.
